“Having stayed at 5 other properties on the West Coast, I was so impressed with the accommodation offered at Port Ferdinand. From the gated entrance, which with a family gives you confidence, right up to the high level quality of your amazing luxury residences. The setting is fabulous and you can easily access nearby Speightstown or Holetown. The facilities onsite at PF are fabulous with many watersports options to choose from, a Marina setting making it lovely to watch the yachts coming in and out, to dining at 13/59 or Quarter Deck.
This property works for any group type, ie couples, families, grandparents, children everybody is taken care of.’’Andrew Lowe Travel Counsellor

Group General Manager Port Ferdinand
Why do you love your job?
The property! Port Ferdinand Marina & Luxury Residences is one of the most exquisite resorts I have ever been the Group General Manager for. Truly unique in every way and the epitome of luxury. There is never a day that goes by where I don’t enjoy the view of white yachts and the azure Caribbean ocean.
What makes your staff so special?
They are special because absolutely nothing is too much trouble for any of the Port Ferdinand team, they truly do everything they can for the guests needs. Our Concierge department for example are not like a normal Concierge team you would experience in other five star resorts, rather they deliver a personal PA service while you are in residence, which starts right from the beginning when they greet you on arrival in your home with eucalyptus & peppermint cold towels and champagne!
What do you feel are the ‘’stand out’’ points to the hotel?
Inspired by our tranquil natural surroundings at Port Ferdinand, The Sandbox Tree Spa on resort offers luxurious treatments to nourish and replenish mind, body and soul. The spa is committed to providing the best in holistic and Ayurveda methods with genuine care, along with the finest of pure botanical products. The BAMFORD body line, a natural and organic collection, features ingredients of the highest standards holistically designed to cleanse, protect and rejuvenate. Our guests rave about the tropical spa gardens and the green monkeys who call it their home.
13/59 restaurant at Port Ferdinand is also the best eatery on the west coast of Barbados, our fine dining restaurant combines the wonderful indigenous ingredients that Barbados has to offer with French cookery methods by award winning French Canadian chef Kevin Shawcross. The dining experience is one of a kind and Kevin’s imaginative and interesting style never fails to showcase whatever is fresh, seasonal and exceptional on the island.
A personal tip on the best thing to experience in the destination
St.Nicholas Abbey, located just a few minutes away from Port Ferdinand, was built in 1658 and is one of only three genuine Jacobean mansions in the Western Hemisphere.
You can explore there the steam mill and rum distillery, which are now in full operation and are used to produce St. Nicholas Abbey Rum. Their rum is exceptional quality and provenance reflective of its 350-year heritage and is made from sugar cane grown on the plantation and crushed in the 1890 steam mill that is still in operation today. They will even engrave your name or a personal message on your bottle of rum!
